Prayer

Dear God,

at the beginning we come out of You. You bestowed us with our being. Out of You we come, completely conscious, that we originate from you, that You are everything, that everything comes out of you, that we are an expression of You, that we, although starting our own journey, are You - You in us, we in You - on our path.

Then on our journeys we loose sight of You. That we descended from you seems more and more like a dream, fades, like a shooting star which burns out.

Our oblivion makes us dark, makes us anxious.

Then one day we meet others, who - although on their path for a long time already - have this light inside, that remembers us of You and of us, of how it was at the beginning.

It lets our own light from deep within become noticeable again, warm, cosy - we still have it in us. It is not extinguished. It never extinguishes. It just waits for the right moment to awake.

This moment of remembrance is so precious. It is the point of reflecting our origin, the source from which we arised,

the sun, our home.

We know again where we really want to go - exactly to where we once came from, home, merging with the love out of which we were born.

Dear God,

make the longing for you strong in us. Help us by kindling the fire in our hearts so that we can feel that this is more soothing, more important than anything else.

Make the fire in us strong. Remember us of the joy of being close to You, of being devoted to You, of being in You.

Be so strong inside of us that it is easy for us to let go everything else. Let Your calling become so strong that we gladly let go our ties to everybody and everything else.

Call me, call us, call us home - I am coming home, I let go and follow your call for coming home - finally.
